In 2020 Newstart Education was successful in an application for funding for the High Five programme from the Big Lottery Fund. This programme allowed those who were deemed at being particularly vulnerable to access intensive youth work support to support them through risk taking behaviours and to support them with positive behavioural management strategies, goal setting, crisis management, well-being checks, 1:1 weekly sessions, mental health and wellbeing support. 

Many of the young people have reported an enhanced sense of well-being, improved moods and significant improvement in their overall lives.
