Newstart Education Centre is seeking two full time youth workers to help deliver our Peace Plus funded cross community, cross-border STRIVE programme. STRIVE is an intensive youth work programme aimed at young people aged 14-24 who are on the margins of mainstream education and youth provision. They will be part of a small team, and will utilise best youth work methods to sustain the engagement of young people on the programme. They will adopt a strong collaborative approach working in partnership with four other youth based organisations who make up the STRIVE consortium.

Job Requirements
Successful candidates will demonstrate a minimum two years experience of working with vulnerable young people from disadvantaged communities. They will be suitably qualified with proven ability to use a range of appropriate youth work methods to meet the needs of individual and small groups of young people to reach their full potential. They will possess excellent mentoring, facilitation, organisational and communication skills.

Newstart Education Centre reserves the right to shortlist candidates using both the essential and desirable criteria.
