WHAT IS JUMPSTART?
Jump Start is a Children in Need funded programme for use in Alternative Education Provision within Belfast, we are based within Newstart Education Centre and work across different sites such as Conway, Open Doors, Pathways and Tullymore and we also accept community referrals. We work with young people aged 14 – 17 one day per week mainly through the use of outdoor education. JumpStart uses a cutting edge combination of adventure learning, resilience building, emotional intelligence, one to one support and peer supported projects. JumpStart enables marginalised and at risk young people to better reach their learning potential, develop better transition skills, move away from negative coping mechanisms, enhance their mental and physical health and well-being and become classroom ready.

THE AIM OF JUMPSTART
For young people to have increased resilience

For young people to realise their full potential
